Customizing Your Form Design
Every screen in your form can be styled independently — or you can apply a consistent look across all screens at once. Styling lives in the Style tab of the right panel when you have any screen selected.
Accessing the Style Panel
- Open your form in the builder (click a form on the Forms page, then click Edit Form).
- In the left panel, click on any screen (e.g., the Welcome screen).
- In the right panel, click the Style tab.
Background Style Options
The Background Style section has three tabs:
Themes
Choose from six preset color themes: Midnight, Ocean, Ember, Excel, Elegant, and Classic. Click any theme thumbnail to apply it instantly.
Image
Upload a custom background image. The image fills the background behind your title and content.
Colors
Set fully custom hex color values for your background.
Typography
The Font Family dropdown (set to "Use theme default" by default) applies the same font to all text elements on the screen.
Colors
Fine-tune the palette for the current screen:
- Accent Color — used for the progress bar, active states, and links
- Button Background — the button fill color
- Button Text Color — the text color inside the button
- Text Color — the main body text color
Layout
Vertical Alignment lets you position content to the Left, Center, or Right of the screen.
Applying Style to All Screens
Scroll to the bottom of the Style panel and click Apply this style to all screens to copy the current screen's style to every other screen in your form.
Customizing the Welcome Screen
Select the Welcome screen and open the Component tab:
- Title — the main headline respondents see first
- Description — supporting text below the headline
- Button text — the text on the start button
Customizing the End Screen
Select the End screen and open the Component tab:
- Title — your closing message
- Description — additional text or instructions
- Media — optionally embed a video or image URL
- Show button — toggle a CTA button on the end screen
- Social links — add links to your website, Instagram, LinkedIn, or any custom URL
Visual Best Practice Tips
- Keep your Welcome screen title short and action-oriented.
- Use a background image that matches your brand, but ensure enough contrast for text readability.
- Stick to one or two accent colors throughout the form.
- Customize the End screen to give value back: add a video, a website link, or a next-step CTA.
