SSL Certificates

Overview

Manage SSL/TLS certificates for your custom domains. MamuteCloud automatically provisions and renews certificates using Let's Encrypt.

Certificate List

View all SSL certificates with:

  • Domain: The domain protected by this certificate
  • Status: Issued, Pending, or Expired
  • Expire: Certificate expiration date
  • Created: When certificate was first issued
  • Actions: View details or delete certificate

Automatic SSL Provisioning

When you configure a custom domain for a CDN resource:

  1. Certificate is automatically requested
  2. Domain validation is performed
  3. Certificate is issued (usually within 5-10 minutes)
  4. Certificate is automatically renewed before expiration

Certificate Status

Issued (Green)

Certificate is active and protecting your domain. No action needed.

Pending (Yellow)

Certificate is being provisioned or validated. This typically takes 5-10 minutes.

Common reasons:

  • DNS records not yet propagated
  • Domain validation in progress
  • Let's Encrypt rate limits

Expired (Red)

Certificate has expired. This should not happen with automatic renewal.

If you see expired status:

  • Check if domain DNS is correctly configured
  • Verify domain ownership
  • Contact support if issue persists

Manual Certificate Management

Import Certificate

If you have your own SSL certificate:

  1. Click "Import Certificate"
  2. Upload certificate file (.crt)
  3. Upload private key (.key)
  4. Upload certificate chain (optional)

View Certificate Details

Click the view icon to see: certificate issuer, valid dates, fingerprint, and domain names covered.

Delete Certificate

Click the delete icon to remove a certificate. This will cause HTTPS to stop working for the associated domain.

Certificate Renewal

All Let's Encrypt certificates are automatically renewed 30 days before expiration. You'll receive notification if renewal fails.

Troubleshooting

Certificate stuck in "Pending" status:

  • Verify DNS records point to MamuteCloud
  • Wait for DNS propagation (up to 48 hours)
  • Check domain registrar settings

HTTPS not working:

  • Confirm certificate status is "Issued"
  • Verify custom domain configuration
  • Clear browser cache and try again
