Connecting your WhatsApp number
To send and receive messages in BatZap, connect a WhatsApp number by scanning a QR code. This is the same pairing flow as WhatsApp Web.
Connect a number
- Open Integrations from the sidebar.
- Click "+ New Integration" and choose "WhatsApp Business".
- On the WhatsApp Integration page, click "Generate New QR Code".
- On your phone, open WhatsApp → Linked Devices and point it at the QR code on screen.
- When it pairs, the status changes to "Connected" and your recent conversations begin syncing into the Inbox.
⚠️ The QR code expires after a short time for security. If it expires, click "Generate New QR Code" and scan again.
Connection status
The WhatsApp Integration page shows the Connection Status: the connected number and since when. The badge reads "Connected" when active and "Disconnected" when the session drops.
Reconnect after a disconnection
If your number disconnects, the Inbox shows a red banner: "WhatsApp Disconnected".
- Click "Reconnect" in the banner.
- Scan the QR code in the "Reconnect WhatsApp" window with your phone.
- The window closes automatically once it reconnects.
While disconnected, you cannot send messages. The composer shows "WhatsApp disconnected · Cannot send messages".
Sync messages
Use the "Sync Messages" action to pull your recent WhatsApp conversations into BatZap. Syncing runs in the background, so you can keep working.
Choosing which number sends (multiple numbers)
If your plan has more than one connected number, group conversations let you pick which number sends the message, using the "Sender Number" selector in the chat header.
In one-on-one conversations the sender number is fixed to the number that owns that contact.
Disconnect a number
On the WhatsApp Integration page, open the "Disconnect WhatsApp" section and click "Disconnect", then confirm. You will need to scan the QR code again to reconnect.
💡 The Standard Plan includes 1 WhatsApp number. To connect more numbers, check your plan in Billing.
